should you wait to go to college

With me being a little old starting school it has across my mind if it would have been better if I had went to college right after high school.  When I first got laid off I was kicking myself in the butt for not going to college right away because I would have something to fall back on. But in reality the only thing I would have been able to start is my basic classes because then I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Just by luck I was already working at a nice paying job. You’re always told you need to know what want to go to school as long as I can remember. But it’s not so easy for all students because sometimes it hard to really think of something to go to school for when you’re not interested in anything. It t ok me fifteen years to decide. I’m not saying don’t go to school right away but if your sure don’t. Right now I can say I’m a lot more focus then I use to be. No more sitting in the back our sitting by friends to talk. It’s more about learning and getting everything taken care of. Don’t get me wrong I have meet some many different  people different  personality, ages you name it and I have enjoyed them but right now I more determine to make sure I meet my goals. So on my behalf waiting was better for me I guess it just depends on the situation

These last two weeks have been a little busy than normal.  Last week was mid-terms. Which means this is the middle of the semester. By luck I had only two paper due for mid-tern and but by the grace of god I’m still alive and making it. Believe at first I question if I was going to make it. I also have sign up for the TRIO club which is a club for first time college students. They have a lot to offer and with the class I want to sign up for next semester I’m going to need there service for the free tutoring, So those of you who are the first person in your immediate family you are able to be in this program. There are many things this program offers.

                This week is a little busy and streeful for student s because you’re able to enroll in class for next semester so the lines and advisor offices have been full. It’s the early bird gets worm. So if there a class or a certain teacher you better get on it now. Now I have to wait until next week to meet with my advisor because I want to take class that I need to take for my major not class that I don’t really need.

                For all my returning students those of you have been out as long as I have there one more thing I wanted to tell you about when writing your papers. You don’t have to go to the library anymore and look through card catalogs they have a system on the ICC web site where you can type in your title or subject it brings up everything from where and when the information comes from. You should try it. I did feel a little old when the other students said they Google there info instead of the card catalog.
